2003 was Harley’s 100 year Anniversary and they made the most of it in the marketing department. This was a wait time of six month for most models in the line and the CVO’s were the top of the food chain at Dealers across the country with no discounts or mercy shown for the buying public. Out the door, the bike was over $29,000 and buyers were lined up to buy the prefect investment, a limited production Harley that was sure to double in value over the years even as you rode it. Whoops….
The FXSTDSE sports a custom Centennial Gold and Vivid Black paint with a color-matched frame. It was accented with pinstripes and Gold Leaf graphics that stretch across the tank and front and rear fenders. The 1550 Twin Cam 95 was part of the package with very limited production of the model sold. The laundry list of custom parts added to the package was extensive.

A month before taking delivery of the bike, our buyer’s leg was crushed in an tractor related accident. He was unable to use his left leg to shift and so had a Pingel All Electric Easy Shift Kit installed. To shift gears, you pull the clutch and push either button next to the left grip. Pretty trick. The bike was hardly ridden all of these years, the owner kept waiting for the value to increase to no avail and so it is for sale, he is throwing the towel in with 2.512 showing from new.
