Years ago a customer bought this 2006 Harley-Davidson FXDI Dyna 35th Anniversary as an investment. It was a time when there was a six month waiting time to take delivery of a new Harley-Davidson and bikes were going for retail plus. Everyone was buying Harley’s as fast they could pump them out of the factory in Milwaukee and no one lost money buying one, riding it for a year and selling it. All good things do come to an end and the case of Harley, it really changed as we see this year with Harley sales being way off and rebates being offered by the dealers. Too many bikes and not enough buyers. Go figure?
So a great investment turned into not such a great idea and waiting any longer to sell the bike does not seem practical or wise. The 2006 models were blessed with all new a new Frame, Suspension, Brakes, redesigned Engine and a 6 Speed Transmission as well as being Fuel Injected. The Dyna came with what I think are some of the coolest spoked rims that feature a smooth lip that meets the tire and I think looks great, some of the nicest rims I have seen on a bike.
In 12 years of ownership, the bike managed to accumulate 8,459 miles. The tires were original and last year, before deciding to sell the bike, brand new tires were installed at 7,500 miles. A taller handle bar replaced the stock bars and a Mustang seat added for comfort. If you are looking for a cool looking bike that may someday be worth more than you pay today and love riding the Dyna series of Harleys, please come by and a look. It is a really pretty motorcycle.
