We have a good customer that owns one of everything. Everything, sometimes more of the same thing. He went on a KTM binge about 6 years ago and cornered the market. His wife wandered into the shop last week, somewhat surprised at what she witnessed and suggested he thin the herd in a timely manner. It was that or he start doing his own laundry.
This 2001 KTM LC4 640 shows 8,041 miles. It is street legal with blinkers, mirrors and Oregon Plates. It is electric start with a 5 speed transmission. Tires look almost new, the bike starts right away and drives well. It is not new, but than again, it is not $10,600 and is in good shape. 300#’s and near 100mph with stock gearing sounds like a lot of fun.
I am not much of a dirt rider, so I will leave opinions to those who know better but from the brief conversations I had, this particular model has a reputation for reliability that other KTM’s did not share.
