The 2007 R1200R is the closest thing to a R100/7 I have seen in years. It has the simplicity and look of the older bike but with the new drive train, modern tire sizes, heated grips and ABS Brakes. On top of that, this particular motorcycle is equipped with BMW’s ESA Suspension. In a nut shell, this allows pre-load adjustment for different load situations, i.e.: single rider, passenger, luggage and passenger, all can be adjusted before you embark. Once on the fly, three choices of dampening can be chosen from, Comfort, Normal and Sport. This is the standard motorcycle that does it all, all of comfort and options of the RT but without the weight and bulk of a full on touring bike.
There are a Technik Windscreen, Comfort Handle Bar Grips and Hand Guards to help with knocking out the miles, all of which can be left alone or changed if it suits you. Service has just been done at Hansen’s Motorcycles. New Spark Plugs, New Battery, Tires front and rear, Throttle Body balancing and fluid replacement, so the bike is ready to go, just add fuel. We have receipts for the most recent oil services, Hansen’s has the rest since the bike was sold new. For this late model drive train, the selling price is very reasonable.
