This 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 already has a funny story to go with it. Our plumber came rushing to tell me that the “Indian” bike he just saw was beautiful and how much were we asking. He means well, but it was the Shadow 750. Good thing he is good at his day job.
So it is pretty easy to see the appeal. All of the looks without the weight and Japanese build quality at a fraction of the cost. This particular bike has been with the owner for the past six years and been extremely well kept. In fact, every service, part, gallon of fuel or cost was recorded in a small log book that accompanies the bike from the date it was purchased in 2011.
The model of bike has huge appeal to all levels of riders, but what most will first notice is the seat height. It is almost as low as you can find on a bike. The engine puts out good power, but is not going to surprise someone by instantly taking them to 100mph at a quarter twist of the throttle. Brakes are the same, good, but not over powering. Cosmetically you have to see the motorcycle in person. The ghosted flames on the tank are beautiful and I did not find a single mark on it anywhere. Stock mufflers will allow undisturbed neighbors and touring. The saddle bags will hold enough for a trip and there is a tail bag that straps to the luggage rack comes with it.
