This 2008 Ducati Hypermotard offered all the fun of a conventional Supermoto bike with its light and agile handling and an almost permanent state of “Wheelies” thanks to it’s 1078cc air cooled V-twin engine. In a more calm state of mind, it also provided a pleasant upright riding position, comfortable saddle and all day long tearing up the twisties seating that made owning a Ducati Sport-Bike practical.
The Hypermotard was designed by Pierre Terblanche and one his most livable mounts. The Hypermotard design won awards almost from the beginning, being awarded "Best of Show" at EICMA for a start. The Hypermotard has a 1,078 cc (65.8 cu in) dual spark 'Desmodromic' aired-cooled two-valve 90° V-twin engine with fuel injection and weighs less than 396 lbs. The Hypermotard is capable of speeds in excess of double the legal limit, a speed recommend for track use only.
In 2008, the “S” version won the 1200 Pro Class Division of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on a Hypermotard 1100S. It was the first Hypermotard to win an international competition and the first Ducati to win at the Pikes Peak since the race began in 1916.
Our particular bike was sold new by Hansen’s BMW when they were the factory Ducati dealer and has been regularly serviced including the 15,000 mile service done recently by them. It is cosmetically beautiful and ready to explore, add gas and a direction
