Consigning bikes and cars at times brings estates and unsettled situations needing to sell vehicles that sometimes are not exactly in the best of condition.
This 2001 Porsche Carrera Convertible was brought to us by the executors of an estate who need it sold As Is after doing a pre-purchase inspection. During this inspection, the car was found to need specific repairs the estate was not in position to have completed. The inspection and quote for the repairs is included with the images of the car on our site. The car can be driven but it needs shocks, brakes and an Oxygen Senor to be repaired. Because of the Oxygen Senor, it will not pass smog in it’s present condition. There is no wiggle room here. It has to be repaired to pass an emission test.
IT WILL NOT PASS AN EMISSON TEST AT THIS TIME.
It can be titled but no registration provided in a county or city that requires a smog certification.
Please look at the attached work orders from Star Imports here in Grants Pass done recently for the needed specific mechanical issues. Because of them, the car is being sold as is with no guarantee of any sort other than a clear title.
Included is the window sticker describing the car, all of the factory options and the original sticker price of $83,600. The car has some cosmetic issues also shown in the images including the rear top window crack, damaged front bumper, marks on the rear bumper and two burn marks on the driver’s side rear seat. There are other items, hopefully the images show them clearly.
But the car drives incredibly well. The engine and transmission work better than the miles showing, the clutch feels new and the AC blows ice cold. The top and windows work as expected and for the money, it seems like a fairly easy way into a 5-Speed Porsche Convertible needing an estimated $3,330 in repairs at shop rates. New rear tires were installed at Les Swab within 600 miles. Fronts are presentable.
