A long time customer operates a company with close to 100 fleet trucks, all of which are religiously maintained by their in house fleet manager. A couple of years ago he bought this 2001 Toyota Tundra SR5 as it was being retired by the company and used it to park in front of his house when he was on the job. In fact, he put less than 2,000 miles on it the past 3 years in it’s security role.
The truck drives amazingly well for the year and the miles showing, but checking around this is the norm for most Tundra’s. It was serviced regularly and needs nothing. There was never a tow hitch installed and the bed looks relatively unscarred. We were told it was used mostly for a delivery truck to job sites down south with mostly freeway driving. Cosmetically it does not appear to have had any body or paint work done and there are no signs of corrosion anywhere.
So, if you are looking for a good running all around truck or an inexpensive Toyota pickup that was not bashed around in the local woods, come by and see it.
