Over the decades we have sold at least 10 Trikes, mostly Harley’s. All of them have been very heavy to steer requiring a surprising amount of upper body strength to change direction. I rode this 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster XL1200R Lehman Trike Conversion and was surprised at the ease and reduced effort to turn the handle bars compared to the larger, much bigger bikes we have had go through the shop years past. Either it is the handle bars, the chassis design or the over all weight that makes a huge difference in the effort to drive the bike.

The bike was converted at Lehman’s factory is Spearfish, South Dakota after being ridden to Sturgis as can be seen in the attached invoice. The owner left the bike and returned when it was completed and ridden home. Our owner bought the bike 20 years ago and has added about 12,000 miles since. For longer distances, a custom fuel was built for the bike. The stock tank is included with the Trike. The engine was rebuilt at 15,000 miles, again the invoice is attached. It was recently serviced at D&S Harley in Medford that included new tires, a new battery, repaired head gasket, new Master Brake Cylinder and a $300 detail.
