2013 Triumph Daytona 675 R
Price: $8000 USD
Truth be know, I was too “stout” to fit comfortably on it. I am sure I could manage, but it would look like a monkey on a football if you get my drift. But the bike represents all things good for sportbikes. It is small, minimal reciprocating masses in the engine and wheels and puts out great power from the triple 675 engine. They upgraded the suspension and brakes and then for 2013 did a whole redesign on the frame and exhaust system. If you are looking for the most fun you can have at the track with your leathers on, look no further!
I cheated and pulled the following off the net, but it really does describe the bike to a tee. Rather than reinventing the wheel, this was written in the day.
“The R version of the Triumph Daytona 675 was specially developed for the track. The bike features a pretty aggressive character and is equipped with technologies developed using the experience gained by Triumph on the race track. The motorcycle’s backbone is represented by a new frame with revised geometry which is paired with a new rigid Aluminum Swing Arm. The Triumph Daytona 675R came fitted with Öhlins front and rear Suspension, Brembo brakes, Quickshifter and a 4.6 Gallon fuel tank.
The motorcycle weighted 405#’s (wet) and was built around a 675cc, liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder Engine which delivered a maximum output of 128HP at 12500 rpm with 74#’s torque at 11900 rpm. The unit is mated to a six speed close ratio transmission which returns a fuel consumption of 68.36mpg.”
The 675R is wearing new tires and was serviced at Precision Motorrad before being brought in.
Miles are 1,512 and the VIN# SMTA02YK2DJ581993. The selling price is $8,000. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit our web site http://www.automaniagp.com 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287.
