If you closed your eyes and pretended it was 2009, this Yamaha XV1700 Star Road Warrior with 3,303 miles, could be a new bike sitting on a showroom floor. It is absolutely incredible and intelligently performance modified with the knowledge coming from tuning experiences over the past decade.

Amongst Japanese Cruisers, the V Star line of Yamaha’s was the most elegantly and aggressively styled of all the bikes from the far East. The engine was a 1,670cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin putting out 84 hp at 4,400 rpm and 135 lb-ft of torque at 3,750 rpm. No ugly radiator or cooling lines poorly disguised, just a big V-Twin. 2009 was the last year Yamaha produced the Road Star Warrior but it had grown a couple of additions to calm the folks who believe American motorcyclists are an issue to the general cause of emission pollution.

The AIS system was deleted. The AIS system (Air Induction System) introduces fresh air into the hot exhaust stream at the exhaust ports, which causes un-combusted gasses to ignite, creating a backfire (especially during deceleration). With stock, highly baffled exhaust systems, it's difficult to hear. But when installing aftermarket exhaust systems, this backfiring becomes very loud and annoying. In addition, at certain RPMs, the AIS creates a virtual "torch" at the exhaust port, resulting in extremely high temperatures which can quickly cause bluing of Chrome. Also, during tuning, the fresh air introduced by the AIS into the exhaust stream will create an incorrect "lean" AFR (Air to Fuel Ratio) reading, which often causes mechanics to overcompensate and adjust the AFR to a very rich setting.)

Also installed was a Churchkey, V-BAK air intake system. The Churchkey VBAK includes a Coil Relocation Plate, velocity stacks, and K&N air filters to replace the OEM air box. The coils, air pressure, and temp sensors are relocated under the fuel tank. This mod gives the Warrior better performance, sound, and a cleaner look without the chrome coil cover on the left and chrome air box inlet on the right. This kit was developed and sold by Woody Church.

For a cosmetic improvement, a KyleNV Motor Mount was installed. KyleNV designed and manufactured a very clean left side motor mount to replace the bulky OEM motor mount that also included the ignition coils.

And icing on the cake, all of the stock parts and manuals are included with the bike.
