For those of you in the know, the R1200RT is one of the best Two-UP Sport Touring Bikes built. Not only does it have all the features of larger Touring Bikes, but stripped of its luggage and One-Up, it can give most Sport Bikes a run for their money. This particular bike has had services done and comes with all of the great accessories that make two up touring a pleasure.

What is important to inseam challenged touring riders is the Factory Low Suspension option. This includes the following, Specific Rear Shock, Forks, Side Stand and Center Stand besides allowing the choices of driver seat height. It also retains the BMW ESA Suspension which allows dampening adjustment but in the case of the Low Suspension option does not include pre-load adjustment. What you are getting with a factory designed lowered suspension is no guessing at maintaining the correct attack angle of the steering head allowing the control BMW designed the motorcycle with. After market kits can get close, but in my opinion are as safe as the technician who installs it.

Attached in the images are service records for the bike at Hansen’s BMW starting at day one. The crankcase oil and filter were changed within the past 1200 miles along with a brake fluid change. Tires were installed 4,000 miles ago and are ready to be replaced once again. Dave at Precision Motorrad did a brief inspection before they made to the shop and he estimated there was 30% life left front and rear. The Fuel Pump recall was completed at the same time as the fluid swaps.

So we are all on the same page, the front and rear tires need replacement in the very near future, within 500 miles. The decision to sell the bike for a reduced value was made to allow the new owner choice of brand and style of the new shoes. The asking price reflects the need for replacement tires at this time.

The bike came equipped from BMW with Cruise Control, Heated Grips and of course, individually controlled Heated Seats (the best thing since sliced bread). There are the two individual saddle bags and the trunk. There is a lower, custom Russell seat for the driver with a matching pattern pillion seat for the passenger. The Handle Bars are a bit higher and back with a HeliBar adapter. This is the bike model that I myself have ridden thousands of miles on the street and track and for me, it is the best two up Sport Touring Motorcycle made (never leave home without her…)

Miles are 82,710. The selling price is $3.995. The VIN# is WB10388038ZT12666.
