What do they say about assumptions? I am finally figuring it out, that I should never assume I know anything about what I know best. More than 50 years of working with and around BMW motorcycle owners and motorcycles you would think I had seen it all. The owner of this K1300S came by to sell his bike and I met a new level of BMW compulsive. Documents, folders, pdf’s by email, I don’t know why my help was needed, it was all laid down in front of me. He even supplied studio images of his bike right after taking delivery.
In the accompanying folder was receipts for every service from day one including the a copy of the MSO from the time of delivery. The only thing missing is the crate the bike came in from the factory! Before bringing the K1300 to be sold, an oil change service was completed along with a new battery installed. New tires were installed 1,500 miles and less than two years ago. The only on going issue is the front tire air pressure monitor will need to be replaced the next time a tire is needed.
Along with all the documentation supplied, the owner supplied a list of the accessories included with the bike which I was able to copy and paste:
• BMW Nav V with hard-wired mount
• Valentine One radar detector mount with wired LED alert (detector unit available)
• BMW hard side bags with waterproof liners
• Optimate Battery Charger
• Spare bulbs
• Tire repair kits (2)
• Tire pump – plug in
• Xena fork lock/alarm (batteries not included)
• Club wheel lock
• Torx wrenches
• Owner’s Manual
• Duplicate keys
• Valentine One Radar Detector (upgraded)
Note: Change the front Tire Pressure monitor at next tire replacement.
