2007 Suzuki GSX-R 1000
Price: $7,495 USD - SOLD (No Longer Available)
Without claiming to be an expert at anything, I can claim to have a lot of experience doing track time with 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000’s. To this day I still own two, one perfectly stock with 10,000 miles and one that was dandified by a previous owner with every trick aftermarket part from the day. It has 6,000 miles on it. Between the two bikes, no more than 400 of those miles were on the street. It was not a gentle life.
So when the original owner of a 2007 GSX-R 1000 called to announce his retirement from riding at age 78 I was skeptical of his description that the bike was new in appearance with 26,000 miles showing. From my own experience, I know how difficult task it is to beat gravity for all of those miles. There had to be some damage somewhere. Just like sunsets, all bikes eventually tip over.
I was wrong. The bike is cosmetically perfect. It even has a brand new front tire.
The 2007 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (K7) introduced major changes from the 2005 model (K5/K6), including variable power modes (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector - SDMS), an electronic steering damper, a change in Front Fork offset, redesigned Chassis, dual stacked Mufflers, Hydraulic Clutch, and a slight horsepower increase due to engine management upgrades and internal tweaks. However, the 2007 model weighed 13 pounds more and it is said to have a more relaxed front end geometry. Some preferred the 2005-2006 but most of those were bench racers in my experience.
So we have a cosmetically stunning 2007 GXS-R 1000. It is perfect for a display either in the living room, showroom or to be ridden. It is almost a little odd it is so clean. But you would have to know the owner for all of this to make sense. He is that particular about everything.
The selling price is $ 7,495. Miles are 26,134 and the VIN JS1GT77A572101797. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit our web site http://www.automaniagp.com 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287.
