2005 Ducati ST3
Price: $4,295 USD
The Ducati ST3 three valve head was designed to rationalize the ST4 four valve head motorcycle and make a usable mount for normal street use. It succeeded beyond expectations, eliminating the abruptness and overwhelming power delivery of the ST4 to make for one Ducati’s best Sport Touring Motorcycles ever.
This 2005 ST3 motorcycle is in great condition for with recent services done at Precision Motorrad in Medford, Oregon. Valves have been adjusted and new timing belt installed along with tires and bar grips supplied by the owner. A poor copy of the work order is included in the images. The out the door cost of $1037 was less than 500 miles ago.
A beautiful custom seat was added, I do not see a manufacture’s label or other information. Looking it over, it is one of the nicer custom seats I have seen on a Ducati. There are a set of HeliBar bar raisers installed and an oversized tinted windscreen. A set of Staintune Mufflers add just the right amount of bark to that fabulous Ducati Twin without making them obnoxious while at touring speeds.
Over the decades, numerous ST3’s and ST4’s have crossed the shop floor. In my opinion, this bike is cosmetically the nicest so far. It is not perfect and there marks when a boot has hit the bags, but over all the bodywork is in really great condition.
The Factory Hard Bags mount to Ducati bag mounts that can be removed without destroying the look of the motorcycle. Something I saw that was interesting was that the mufflers have two mounting holes on the rear foot hangers, one higher than the other. You use the lower mount when the bags are installed and raise them to the higher hole when not running the bags.
The bike has not been ridden recently due to changing life style circumstances. It is ready to travel once again. The bike is remarkable and is cosmetically in great condition, you would not be able to guess the year by looking at the bike.
Included is the CODE Card and the Black Key. The Red key is not included by talking with Dave at Precision Motorrad (541-778-6774) the use of the CODE Card and Black key replicates the Red Key’s Function.
