Automania was enlisted to sell a collection of cars belonging to a local enthusiast who passed awhile back. It was an impressive collection of modern cars and high end builds one of which was being worked on right up to his passing.

This ’32 is one of the nicest Roadster’s I have seen in recent years and a visual treat to have at the shop. After a billizon years of presenting Street and Hot Rods here I have seen a litmus test of what attracts enthusiasts to what we have sitting on the shop floor. If it is the first thing they walk towards and stare it, regardless of why they came by the shop, it is going to find a good home.

And this ‘32 is a incredible build. The quality of the components and paint work is wonderful. The problem for me is that this car came to us with no invoices, no receipts or even a purchase order. Everything I am describing is my educated guess or from my good buddy, long time builder rod builder Dave Hamilton, formally of Ham’s Body here in town.

The body wears a Westcott body tag on the firewall. The rear trunk lid is electronically powered to open and close with a switch behind the front seat. As you can see in the images, the layout of the engine compartment is tidy and professionally completed. The motor is assumed to be a Crate GM motor but it is wearing Aluminum Heads under Aluminum Valve Covers. There is a Edelbrock 4-Barrel sitting on one of their Intake Manifolds. The front of the motor is dressed in Chrome but it lacks AC. With no windows in the doors it probably is not a deal killer. The Transmission is a 350 Turbo hooked to a Ford 9” Rear End with Drum Brakes. The front end is a Drop Axle beam with Disk Brakes. The frame which is Square Tub is most likely a TCI unit and is finished just as well as the body that sits on it. The rest of the underside can be described and viewed by images of which there are over 40 shots on our webpage.

The interior appears to be in Leather with Classic Instruments filling the Engine Turned Dash. One of odd things I noticed was that it has a Cruise Control Stalk on the left of the Column. Looking in the Trunk, there seems to be a serious Stereo System installed, please do not ask me how to turn it on..

All and all, this appears to be serious, professionally built, nothing out of place, nothing left to half effort. It is beautiful and ready for the next drive, show or cruise.

The selling price is $38,995. The VIN# is ORAA126532RK, the Oregon title reads 1932 ASVE. The miles are 5,755.
