1984 Toyota SR5 RN60 Turbo Pickup

This 1984 Toyota Pickup RN60 is part of a larger, local collection of hot rods and investment vehicles that is being adjusted. The truck was taken in on trade recently and was felt does not match the character of the other vehicles being gathered along with several others we will be offering.
The Toyota was built locally by a long time fabricator who has specialized in Japanese Trucks and SUVs. Ten years ago we sold a Suzuki Samurai, running a Toyota Engine which sold to a buyer in Florida built by the same individual. His work centers around Toyota Power Plants is without exception. Taking a small Asian utility rig and building a “Godzilla” platform is a hobby perfected over decades of Southern Oregon rainy day winters.
As can be seen in the images, the build was a frame off creation. I can see the obvious but Toyota enthusiast will see more then is described. It has a custom 22-TE Toyota engine with Fuel Injection, Inter-Cooloer, WIDE BAND Throttle Body, Turbo-Charger with custom painted, body colored accessories and covers. The Bed of the Truck was taken from a Ford Ranger and the interior custom designed and executed for function and style. There is a custom Sound System and Gauges for monitoring Air/Fuel mixture, exhaust temperature and Turbo Boost.
The chassis is beautiful and custom. The Solid Beam front Axle has Trussed and Welded with bracing. The rear Axle appears to be stock in appearance with both ends being sprung with Leaf Springs.
I have probably only scratched the components and details of the build but hopefully seriously interested customers will appreciate what the truck is and what has gone into the build. A full inspection is welcome if more information is desired. I have attempted to contact the builder but so far without any luck.
