Being out of the Scooter World loop I did not know Honda built the FJS600 Silverwing or how really great they are. From reports, this Scooter will top 110mph, about 35mph faster than I would ever conceive or try! On a Scooter!!!
The Silverwing comes with a 600cc Fuel Injected Twin rated about 50hp. The saddle is generous and full sized, enough for two comfortably. With the massive storage under the seat, longer trips could be undertaken if the mood for adventure struck. The Automatic Transmission means that all you have to do is twist the throttle and move off smoothly. I was surprised at how briskly it accelerated, a regular Stop Light Racer.
Our bike is a two owner model with almost new tires and a two year old battery. Oil and filter were changed about 300 miles ago so the only thing needed for new will be fuel and a direction to travel. The flexibility of being a Scooter and enough power to make cruising the Highways is impressive.
