Stephen Holman’s Scanned Images SCCA 1958

Stephen Holman’s Scanned Images SCCA 1958

During the late 50's my dad, Stephen R Holman, was the official photographer for the Square Wheel, the Bay Area SCCA Magazine, while working as a service writer part time at the Sports Car Center over in Sausalito. The Sports Car Center was owned by Bill Breeze, father of Mountain Bike creator, Joe Breeze. There were a list of characters and cars that rolled through the shop, three of them included fabricator Nadeau Bourgeault, Bob Winkelman and Danish immigrant Mogens Skov.

I found a box of prints he took that I scanned. His cars at the time were a Triumph TR2 (#51) and Fiat Abarth Zagato Coupe. My Dad, Stephen R Holman, passed November 22, 2016 at age 89. He had stopped riding motorcycles two up at 82, probably a decade longer then he was safe... but that never stopped him. I am hoping to find more images as time goes along. I used what little information I have to identify the images so please do not hesitate to update me as time goes along. Thanks, Ted
