Almost new and ready for Riding!
The 2015 Harley-Davidson FXDL Low Rider was intended to make a full size Harley-Model that appealed to sport touring types that wanted more out of their Harley then just punching a hole on the Freeway. It came with 17 inch and 19 inch wheels mounted with Michelin Scorcher tires which gave it a relatively sporting feel compared to other models in the line without giving up any of the straight line stability owners expect. The 103 Engine was backed up by a 6 Speed Transmission which allows for effortless cruising when in top gear. It has real brakes on the front end, fairly large rotors and dual calipers that do not cave to the “look” some want out of their Harley by wearing just one rotor. Stopping is as important as going. Fuel mileage is about 43mpg and the tank holds 4.7 gallons. The handle bars and seat have a pretty good range of adjustability and should adjust to most riders and their preferred seating position.
The bike, with 150 miles showing from new, was sold locally at D&S Harley-Davidson in Medford for $16,000 in May of 2017 along with the additional $5,400 of Harley dealer installed accessories and the labor to install them, a grand total out the door of $21,600 just a couple of months ago. I included a scan of the purchase invoice to verify the costs. Ouch.
The bike was ridden an additional 300 miles when the owner realized he was not enjoying the experience. The bike now has a total mileage of 446 miles from new. Not all good plans work out the way we anticipated.
