A new customer brought his 2006 Harley in for us to sell. He bought the bike new in 2006 but never felt comfortable riding it and so it has mostly has sat, getting used a couple of times each year. It is time to clean up the rolling stock and though he paid over $18,000 for it new, has decided it is time. He told me he had just changed the crankcase oil and filter and refreshed the front brake fluid and said the replaced battery had been kept on a trickle charger. The bike is beautiful to see, in excellent unmarked condition, looking great for the few miles that were put on it since new. It started instantly and ran well. My first impression was this is what early dressers looked like, just a modern version of another time. Pretty neat.

After a long absence, Harley reintroduced the Heritage Softail FLST in 2006 bringing back the Hardtail Styling with the ridge-mounted Twin Cam 88B 1450cc Engine. The large FL style front Fender and wrap-around FL rear Fender covered the Spoked 16” Chrome Rims that made for preferred handling and comfort. A large Chrome Headlight and Passing Lights sit ahead of the adjustable Chrome Handle Bars. The 5 speed tranny and Fuel Injection made for an easy running motor giving good fuel mileage, 40-50mpg, and fuss free running.

The bike is equipped with King-Size Detachable Windscreen and accessory Leather Saddle Bags (with “No saggy bags” installed). A wonderfully comfortable Harley Accessory Seat was purchased that is equipped with an adjustable back rest for the driver. The bike was a little weak on the power and the owner opted for a set of Kerker Pipes which he says really woke the motor up, with tons more power at Freeway speeds.

The stock Seat was a two piece unit that allowed the rear pillion to be removed exposing the rear fender if you were so inclined while riding solo. It and the stock exhaust system are included with the bike at the time of sale are in good order.
