A customer was complaining the other day that I get long winded in my descriptions of the bikes and he is right, sort of. So if you just want to know about the bike, skip the next two paragraphs.

The owner of this almost new 2016 Harley Davidson Dyna Fat Bob has been a long time consigner of ours, in fact one of our first customers. He is someone that is always looking for that right fit which he has searched for decades through several motorcycles, boats and trailers. How do you really know if you like a vehicle until you have lived with it awhile? Looks good on paper, but reality is that we are not the ones voicing written opinions and theirs is often times flavored by their own vision of what is right or not (or satisfying advertisers).

So, our customer has been through a lot of new motorcycles. Some he puts miles on, many of them less than 500, total. The Harley was great when he was taking delivery at the dealer, but he only managed to get 395 miles on it before he realized it was too large a motorcycle for his trips around town, the reason he bought it to start with. He has had it on a battery tender since new, but he has not put 100 miles on the bike in the last twelve months. In the mean time he also bought two other new bikes and finally found the one he has been after all of these years. Success, but that left two on battery tenders and here we are.

The 2016 Dyna Fat Bob had a minor power bump for 2016 out of the Twin Cam 103 Engine (1600cc). The Fat Boy is probably one of the most comfortable Cruiser style Harleys with the Drag Style Handle Bars pulled back for an easy reach. There is a deep, comfortable Saddle that puts the seat height at just 27” for those wearing a shorter inseam size of trousers. Unlike some of the other Harley offerings in the range, there are Double Disk Brakes up front and Twin Head Lights for safety. For a Harley Cruiser, there is reasonable corning ground clearance for spirited riding along with a 5.7 gallon Fuel Tank. All and all, this is a great bike for weekend rides, lots of get up and go along with a comfortable riding stance and seat plus it just looks great.
