The 2014 Harley-Davidson FLHXS Street Glide was part of the RUSHMORE Project, which Harley promoted as factory’s “biggest scale product release in 110 years”. Must have been a huge event! The model was intended as a stripped down version of the touring “Bagger”, meant for the open road and comfortable long distance touring with the look and attitude of a hot rodder, especially in Denim Black as is our bike.

It has “Reflex Linked” Brakes backed up with ABS, the HO Twin Cam 103 motor, 6-Speed Transmission with CVO type adjustable rear Air Suspension. The “Boom Box 6.5 infotainment” system is dash mounted and is fully capable of FM, AM and Blue Tooth compatible Media support. The chassis is the latest, long rear swing arm version designed for touring and stability covered in front by a “Batwing” style upper fairing that will give good protection from wind, rain and sleet (who rides in sleet?). Our particular bike was purchased with those very travel plans made but never succeeded in getting much more than 100 miles from home at a time having less than 6,000 miles added over the past six years. Oils were changed at the end of the riding season at S&D and the bike is again ready to go, weather it be to the coast or South Dakota.
