2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200C
Price: $5,995 USD - PREVIOUSLY SOLD
Normally we do not take trades in, but in this case, the bike was mechanically sound and the owner reasonable with his expectations. Besides, we were pretty excited to be selling the Suzuki Bonneville bike and this made it easier.
The 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200C combined the larger engine choice with the smaller Harley-Davidson chassis and 16” front tire to give a more agile feel compared to the Ultra Glides and Softails lines Harley offers. It also was a whole bunch less money to start with. Still offering the one of the lowest rider seat heights in a full size motorcycle, the bike is capable of stable and predictable cruising while still be easier to maneuver around town.
Our bike has three seats and three sets of handle bars that come with it. The owner could not decide what was the most comfortable and keep buying different parts and pieces to match his needs. The motorcycle was purchased with a disclosure that the speedometer had been replaced in 2013 while it showed 3,533 miles. The odometer reading today is 6,826 for an assumed total of 10,359 miles. Because of the replacement and lack of paperwork to support this, we are going to sell the bike with miles unknown. Oil was changed about 2,600 miles ago and the tires look to be at least 80%.
As always, a pre-purchase inspection is always welcomed at a qualified, local shop. Riding the bike the short distance I did showed nothing unusual, in fact it rode better than most Sportster's that have come through the doors. Must be the stock exhaust system!
