This 2001 Harley-Davidson FLSTC/FLSTCI Heritage Softail Classic comes from an estate that has recently settled. While cleaning the bike up, we found registration forms dating back to March of 2009 with the mileage recorded as 6,000 miles at that time under the seat. The current tags on the bike were are 04/22, so the intent to ride the bike was always there, but it is assumption that long term medical issues prevented the bike from being ridden as the digital odometer reads only 6,366 miles today.

The motorcycle is styled like a past version of the Softail Classic, a motorcycle for riders who wanted the comfort of a modern bike but with the look of a 1940s Hardtail. It has the Twin Cam 88B motor engine and was intended for touring or cruising. There is a fat Front Fork, Studded Leather Saddlebags, Chrome-studded Seat, Floorboards, a big Chrome Headlamp with twin passing Lamps and the Fat Bob tank. The specs are:

The bike was stored in an attached garage under a bike cover with a battery tender hooked up. The fuel smelt reasonably fresh, but the existing battery, despite the battery tender was dead. Along with the bike were collections of different items, mostly electronic which looked like they might have been there for an extended period of time also. The house was similar, pathways through more stuff with every room difficult to move through. It is not my intent to draw any conclusions that reflect poorly upon the situation, but it appeared that nothing had ever been thrown away for decades.

The bike was transported to the shop where several days were spent cleaning and waxing the bike. It is absolutely amazing the difference, it is beautiful and cosmetically excellent. A new battery was installed and the bike started instantly and idled normally. A brief ride came as a surprise, the bike feels like the odometer is accurate and the bike unused.
