This 1996 Harley-Davidson FXDL Low Rider was bought new by it’s owner and has been pampered and accessorized over the decades to become one of those bikes that we all hope to find someday, a one owner bike respected and treated with extreme care and service since day one.

The FXDL was a Harley focused on handling and ride by using twin rear shocks instead of a single shock controlled by linkage under the bike. The Milwaukee Big Twin and the redesigned laminated steel and rubber engine mounts provided fewer mounts and better engine movement control, at least that was the theory in the day.

As mentioned, this bike is a one owner bike, who has kept a log of the work and improvements over the years. Most of the work was done by a local legend HD mechanic, Nathan, back in the day. Unfortunately for the rest of us, Nathan passed about a decade ago, but his work does go on. The motorcycle is incredible in it’s cosmetic condition and was just serviced at S&D Custom Cycle here in Grants Pass (the service and inspection report are in the images on the site). The bike also comes with four additional seats including a Corbin Touring, a Saddleman Gel/Stock Seat and a LePera Low Profile saddle along with the Harley Davidson Low Profile Seat on the bike. There are also three Sissy Bars, a Sissy Bar Back Pad which mounts under the seat. As seen in the images are Detachable Leather Saddlebags with Liners.

And a first for me are Cordura Rain Shields that fit on crash bar and Cordura Protective covers for front Fender and Gas Tank.
