The Triumph Speedmaster, powered by a 865cc Twin, was a bike designed with forward controls, a relaxed riding position and Triumph’s renown reliability. Unfortunately, it was not a huge sales success due to the styling and riding position but that has proved a boom for customizers looking for a newer platform and great value in a modern motorcycle.
The owner of this 2005 Triumph saw the opportunity to make it right by creating what is called a “Bobber” out of basically a stock motorcycle. He replaced the gas tank with one from a Bonneville, sculpted the front and rear fenders and had most of the body parts powder coated in a matt black. Maverick Customs supplied the Driver’s seat and detachable rear pillion. Lighting was custom installed along with bar end mirrors and tail light assembly. The stock leather bags were left in place and do a good job of hauling what ever fits and new tires were just spooned on before it was brought it. It is impossible to mention all of the custom features of the bike, come by and check a great “Bobber” that has the reliability of a Triumph Twin and now the looks to match it.
