What an intergalactic jump Triumph has made with the Tiger line from models past. The electronic evolution that defines the modern motorcycle industry today redefined the whole Triumph line of motorcycles, no more then with the XRx.
The list from Triumph is long but includes Adaptive Cornering Lighting, full-color TFT Instruments, 5 Riding Modes, all-LED Lighting, back-lit Switchgear, Keyless Ignition and Triumph’s Shift Assist. Then there is the extensive on board technology including; Triumph Semi-Active Suspension (TSAS), Cornering ABS with Traction Control, Hill Hold and an electronically adjustable Windscreen. There is the WP front and rear Semi-Active Suspension, again with cornering ABS and Cornering. What a game changer. Heated seats, Cruise, Shaft Drive, Aluminum Panniers, if you can think it, the XRx came with it.
What is spectacular about the Tiger and sets it aside from all the other UJM bikes being sold, is the engine and transmission. There is no other sound like a Triple in the higher RPM range and with 140hp on tap no shortage of engine delivery and control. Clutchless Shifts and adjustable power levels make the Tiger infinitely adjustable to the individual rider’s demands in the moment.
This bike was purchased new in Portland and has spent most of it’s time on a battery tender (along with the treated fuel). It has had 2 oil changes completed, the last at Hansen’s BMW in Medford, Oregon during its 1,316 miles. It is now showroom new clean with no signs of off road use or cosmetic wear. Because it is not being used, the choice was made to sell, a savings of almost $10,000 over the current Tiger 1200’s price tag. Along with the bike comes a second electronic Key Fob. The engine service light is on due to being timed out, not the need for any work.
