2011 BMW F800 ST Low Suspension

A long time family friend came by with her 2011 F800 ST ABS, Low Suspension, Low Seat model after her long time riding buddy moved north to Portland and the bike sat unused for over a year. Cosmetically the bike appeared new, but the tires were original as was the battery. All of us agreed that before finding a new owner, some one who would appreciate the care of the bike since new, these service items would need to be taken care prior to this ST being offered for sale. That was taken care and the oil changed for good measure.
The F800 ST came along to fit between the F650 singles and R1200 twin touring bikes. For those who wince at the idea of freeway speeds on a throbbing single or the anticipated fear of picking up 600 pounds of touring twin off a sidewalk, the relatively easier F800 range was a prefect perch at about 450 pounds. It made good power, was incredibly stable at freeway speeds and had that BMW, European Drive quality that the Japanese bikes mostly miss. The only downside to the bike was the length of the chassis which makes two riding up snug for most. With a belt drive, normal services stops were for oil and tires.
As mentioned, our ST came as a Low Suspension Model with the accessory low seat that added up to about 29.5 inches sitting with no load. It also has BMW Factory Heated Grips and Engine Case Guards. The BMW Factory Saddle Bags expand but are tucked in when room is not needed and look to enlarge about 40% when opened up. There are a set of after market running lights attach to the lower fork legs.
