1974 BMW R75/6 and R100/7
Price: $2,300 USD - PREVIOUSLY SOLD
Since Hansen’s closed last fall, there have been some calls on bikes that did not run or had been sitting for ever. This 1974 R75/6 came with receipts for an upper end rebuild at Hansen’s in 1997, Tags expired in 2014 but it had not run for at least ten years. It was kept in a garage which did not do it any good. The fuel smelt horrible and the tank had rusted through. The body work was not in the best of shape. But the motor turns over and seems to be all there. Front brakes do not work, obviously the rear does. Everything that comes with the bike is shown in the images, not a bolt or screw more. Good, clear Oregon title.
I bought this other bike for parts on my 1981 R100 I am restoring. Rather than tell you what is bad, it is easier to say what is good. The tank, wheels and transmission. The previous owner left the fuel on and it locked up the engine while sitting forever. The left head and jugs were taken off, but thrown back on. I needed a good rear end and some hardware. The bike was titled in Mexico, there are some Mexican registration papers with it. There is NO TITLE!!! Also the steering head lock was busted off at some point. Everything that comes with the bike is shown, not a bolt or screw more. This is a parts bike, it will never run again and NO TITLE!!!
The VIN#’s are 6170829 and 8818273649. The selling price for both is $2,300.
