Over the decades of dealing in used BMW’s I have met a small dedicated group R1200 C riders that can be rabid in their love of this unique design interpretation of what BMW saw was the American style Cruiser led by Harley. BMW doubled down with the R1200 CL (Cruiser Luxury) and the rest became history.

The R1200 CL started out with the most important cruiser feature, a 29.3 inch seat height. It shared the same motor from the R1200C but almost nothing else was similar. The front end was intended to fit a wider, 150/60 tire and the rear frame to mount bags and the heated seat. What most proper BMW owner’s turned their nose up though were the Floor Boards instead of Foot Pegs. It was a Cruiser and that is what they had, BMW or not. The Luggage was probably the best cases BMW has ever installed. The latches are easy to use and the cases close easily unlike some Vario style bags and the Top Box will hold a helmet.

Our particular bike was a bit different, it has factory Stereo System that included a CD changer in the right side case. Cosmetically it is almost like seeing the bike on the showroom floor for the first time. Hardly a mark anywhere and obviously garage kept during its life.
