This 2014 R1200GS LS Low Suspension with the factory Touring Package, with a 31.5 inch seat height, was designed by BMW to allow all of the flexibility of the GS to owners who needed that off road capacity without the standard seat height of the GS’s. This was not just done by swapping out the front and rear shocks, it included a specific center and side stand and correct steering geometry that some aftermarket spring systems do not match. Factory designed! And when you are carrying all of your gear and a full take of fuel, that factory designed stability is a must.

Entire magazines are devoted to the wonders of the water cooled bikes, more power, better shifting, better electronics, better handling, all of the benefits of a complete redesign the R1200GS line of bikes after the twin cam version built to 2013. What I would want to take notice of is the Thumb Wheel on the left bar that is connected to the GPS and Cruise Control. The Touring Package included On Board Computer, Cruise Control, Premium Saddle, ESA Suspension, Saddle Bag Mounts, LED Headlights, Tire Pressure Monitor and adjustable Rider Modes. The bike is also equipped with the factory GPS. After Market Accessories were an extended Wind Screen (the stock unit is included with the bike) Tourtech Crash Bars, Tourtech Valve Cover Guards, a Givi SHAD 37 Tail Trunk and a Luggage Rack Extender.

The bike presents as almost unmarked and thousands less than buying a comparable new model and then decking it out. It was recently fully serviced at Hansen’s BMW moments before they closed including a new set of tires less than 1,600 miles ago.
