This 2000 BMW F650 brings back all sorts of history. My dad bought the exact bike new from Hansen’s BMW and rode it to Oaxaca, Mexico and back, over 7,000 miles for the round trip. It may me realize the flexibility of the motorcycle, that is was not limited by it’s apparent size for anything you put in front of it. I also had a new respect for my dad’s tenuousness for making the journey at age 73 years old. That was a long ride!

The bike is powered by the Rotax derived 650cc single that for years was the basis of BMW’s single line until they move production to China. These motors were in all sorts of BMW venues with owners reporting over 100,000 miles of life with proper maintenance. The previous owner also installed a Scottoiler’s Automatic chain oiler along with a set of BMW hard cases and Heated Grips. An aftermarket comfort was custom built and looks comfortable for longer distance rides. Tires look to be 80% but these bikes are not hard on anything and should be good for many more miles.
