We have had several F800GS’s over the years and I love them for one up riding. They are good on the highway, good enough off road and bullet proof with regular maintance. In 2013 BMW came out with the F700 to replace the F650, basically a simplified F800 with lower suspension, lower seat and more economically sourced components. What remained the same was the basic 800cc twin, a little more under stressed if anything.

BMW referred to the bike in this way, “The new F700GS is geared more towards motorcyclists who do not yet need quite the same level of off-road expertise. Its strengths are a lower seating height, all-round capabilities for everyday use and more than sufficient power while also offering outstanding economy. Our bike was brought in by a rider who was coming off a full dress Harley-Davidson. He thought he was ready for something smaller, lighter and easier to handle. A couple miles later, he realized he was on the wrong bike and here it is for sale again. The bike comes equipped with BMW’s expanding Vario Bags and Tail Trunk, all keyed to the ignition. There is also Bar Risers mounted, allowing a bit more of an upright riding position. A ZTechnik Windshield was installed but the stock windscreen was keep and is included with the bike. Miles are barely over 3,000.
