Hansen’s BMW of Medford sold this 2015 R1200GS LC Adventure Factory Low Suspension new to a valued customer who wanted his last bike in his extensive riding career to be a GS after leaving his K1600 four years ago. At the tender age of sixty plus 20, it is come time to do the grand tours by motor home and his GSA is now up for sale. The bike has 12,931miles from delivery at Hansen’s where it was serviced regularly.

Entire magazines are devoted to the wonders of the water cooled bikes, more power, betters shifting, better electronics, better handling, all of the benefits of a complete redesign the R1200GS line of bikes after the twin cam version built to 2013. I cannot compete with their knowledge and if you are looking at this bike, you are probably more aware of why it will make such a great motorcycle. What I did notice right away is that the bike is equipped with Cruise Control, a feature not offered on the Oil Head GS’s. After all of these years I have learned to appreciate having it despite my previous reservations and fear of running full tilt into something when wanting just the opposite. A few times of use and you get use to using it and it is a huge help when on long stretches of straight roads and freeways.

A couple of accessories were added including the factory BMW Garmin Navigator V GPS and Mount. The bike came with two seat set ups, the stock unit and a custom Saddleman Adventure Seat with adjustable back rest. For a Tank Bag, Bag Connection supplies the quick disconnect and tank bag. A taller Z-Technik V-Stream Windscreen was also added. GSA’s come with the full engine and crash bars, 7.9 gallon fuel tank and aluminum Hard Bags. It was wired for heated gear and just recently had my favorite GS street tires installed, the Continental Conti-Contacs front and rear.

The bike, sold at Hansen’s BMW, was serviced by Hansen’s with oil changes handled according to schedule. The bike presents as almost unmarked and about $11,000 less money than buying a comparable new model.
