The 2005 and newer BMW R1200RT happens to be my favorite Sport Touring bike of all time. It has all of the creature comforts most of like for two up riding but it does not weigh a ton and handles well enough to make winding roads a hoot. I have ridden several late model l RT’s thoushands of miles and think they are the best thing since sliced bread. I am not alone, ask any Motor Officer which Sport Tourer they think handles the best and they will all say the BMW R1200RT.

This bike is a 2005 model and has 61,488 showing. San Jose BMW has done most of the service work and both tires have 400 miles on them. Cosmetically it is extremely nice with few signs of the great trips and travels completed. The bike comes with factory Heated Grips, electronically adjustable Windshield, Cruise Control, ESA Factory Suspenison Control with Wilbers Shocks front and rear, Lee Baileys Windscreen, Factory Tank Bag (why can’t they all be this great?), Engine Guards. The two Hard bags are very easy to use, water tight and hold a ton of stuff for those long hauls.

If you are looking at doing some serious secondary road touring or just blazing across the Interest State by yourself or with a passenger, you will not find a better handling, more comfortable bike in the range of Sport Touring bikes. Just ask some one that owns one.
