Hansen’s BMW of Medford sold this 2016 R1200GS Adventure new to a valued customer who traveled all the way from Idaho to work with them. Huge plans were made, but change of life and reality put them on a back burner. That is how it came to our shop after another long 10 hour drive. We must be doing something right to warrant the of confidence!

Entire magazines are devoted to the wonders of the water cooled bikes, more power, betters shifting, better electronics, better handling, all of the benefits of a complete redesign the R1200GS line of bikes after the twin cam version built to 2013. I cannot compete with their knowledge and if you are looking at this bike, you are probably more aware of why it will make such a great motorcycle. What I did notice right away is that the bike is equipped with Cruise Control, a feature not offered on the Oil Head GS’s. After all of these years I have learned to appreciate having it despite my previous reservations and fear of running full tilt into something when wanting just the opposite. A few times of use and you get use to using it and it is a huge help when on long stretches of straight roads and freeways.

A couple of accessories were added including Keyless Ignition, ESA (have not seen an Adventure without it) the factory BMW Garmin Navigator V GPS with mount and wiring. A Tank Bag Connection supplies the quick disconnect mount covering the gas filler along with the obligatory Head Light Protector. A Bakup Back Rest and Luggage Rack extension were mounted for the comfort of the Pillion Rider. GSA’s come with the full engine and crash bars, 7.9 gallon fuel tank and aluminum Hard Bags. Tires are Michelin Anakee 3’s with about 1,000 miles on them.

The bike presents as almost unmarked and about $11,000 less money than buying a comparable new model.
