1975 Bultaco Frontera 360
Price: $3,295 USD - SOLD (No Longer Available)
About eight years ago I got a call from one of the Rogue Valley’s founding Go-Karters, someone I had known for almost 35 years. He had just purchased a running 1975 Bultaco Frontera 360 from a guy that had over 40 Bultaco’s in different stages of disassembly and parts stored in shipping containers in Talent, Oregon. Quickly making another bad decision, I got my buddy Dave to help me buy the whole lot and move them to the shop thinking I was the smartest guy around.
And once again found that this was not the case, I was just the last one to look at this massive pile of unsorted parts and open a wallet.
Long story made short, all of the parts and bikes finally ended up residing at Poet Motorcycles in Helena, Montana. Never have I worked so hard just to go backwards.
Which brings up back to Dickie’s Frontera. Dickie had purchased the 1975 Bultaco Frontera from the collector as one of his only running, complete motorcycles before alerting me to my up coming financial misadventure. The bike was being ridden regularly and came with an assortment of parts and brochures that can be seen in the images. Dickie had the bike taken over to Dave Maheu who rebuilt the front forks and checked it’s running condition and it was made ready for dual sport ridding. It was then rolled into the garage where it has spent the past next few years. New tires were ordered last year to make use of the bike but life got in the way and they were never mounted. In a last gasp effort Dickie went out to start the bike recently and found that he had lost the strength needed to kick it into life. Again it was taken to Dave Maheu who fired it up and rode it around the parking lot. It was then loaded on to a trailer and brought to the shop to be sold. Along with the bike came a larger gas tank, front forks and those two year old tires. Dickie also informed me that those are original front and rear aluminum fenders.
The engine and frame numbers are matching.
The selling price is $3,295 and the VIN# HB14300672. For other interesting bikes and collectable vehicles, visit http://www.automaniagp.com , call 541 479 8888 or come by and see us at 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Oregon Dealer DA1287.
