Putting it out there for everyone to read ahead of time, this 1000cc V-Twin is the motor in my own TL1000 and is my favorite motorcycle engine of all time. I am prejudiced.
This 2003 Suzuki SV1000S has to be one of the best sport touring motorcycles built. It is rugged, it is simple and has one of the greatest engines Suzuki ever designed. It ended up in so many custom makes, including Bimota and Harris, because of its driving characteristics, the look and above all, the sound. They made a lot of these motors and Suzuki built a lot of different bikes around them including the TL, this SV and DL versions.
This bike is the 40th Anniversary Edition model in Burning Copper Metallic paint. What a name, what a color. Stock it came with the passenger seat and rear seat cowl, which are both included with the bike. The owner added a set of Jardine RT-1 Mufflers and the sound is perfect. Tires look to have less then 1000 miles on them with no flat spotting on the rear. Miles are 21,744 and there are no signs of anything contacting the ground other than rubber. Cosmetically it is great as you can see in the images. The owner added a set of lowered foot pegs to the bike, but the stock pegs are included with the sale. Another added feature is the thermostatically controlled heated grips run by a switch mounted on the left bar.
