2017 Suzuki Suzuki V-Strom 650

I used to say that if I could fill the showroom with Suzuki V Strom DL650’s, BMW F800’s and R1200GS’s, I would have the perfect business. All great bikes and everyone wanted one. Well, we get a good selection of BMW’s that cross the floor, but nice, lower mile V Strom’s have been tougher to come by. And now we have this 2017 DL650AL that came in.
When the DL650 was first introduced in 2004 it was the best thing since sliced bread. By 2017, for the 3rd Generation, Suzuki has continually refined the drivetrain and handling, adding ABS to the mix and upgrading styling. This 3rd generation also came equipped with adjustable traction control and throttle assist which slowly increases the rpm of the engine when the clutch is released or riding at slow speeds to prevent stalling. The engine is still the V-Twin 645cc that has been in all sorts of Suzuki bikes and proven it’s self pretty bullet-proof, even when road raced. In 2017, fuel mileage was up about 10% and vibration reduced from the motor. All and all, a great bike that has been refined and improved over the years, making it a huge value for all types of riders, especially slightly used getting ready for Adventure Ridding at a reasonable entry cost.
Our bike is a one owner bike that has a few accessories. The factory Center Stand was added, a low seat ordered (the stock seat is included), an aftermarket Side Stand Foot and Gas Tank Protector pad were both added. Both front and rear tires barely show any wear.
