On occasion we have a long time customer that has either purchased a bike from us or had something sort of collectable for decades. I get a call that a bike should be sold, but that it has not run for a year or ten. Usually it is a medical issue or the passing of an important spouse and loved one. That is our situation with this 1976 Honda MR250 Elsinore dirt bike we picked up last week that has not run in over six years.

The bike appears to be stock with the exception of the gas tank. The exhaust is stock but does have a dent in pipe just behind the front wheel. Seat looks stock as do the fenders and other running gear. There is a Oregon Off Road permit that was issued in 2018 which could lead to the assumption that it was running and being used that year. Fuel does not smell too bad.

The bike is not running at this time. I have not tried to start it but I kicked it over and it has good compression. That is everything I know about the bike. It ran when it was parked and it may run again for the new owner.
