2008 Honda GL1800 Goldwing Champion Trike

This 2008 Honda GL1800 Goldwing, with the 2012 Champion Trike conversion, hits every button possible for Trike buyers. It is not only the Goldwing drivetrain, it is Champion’s top of the line, Independent Rear Suspension equipped conversion with their Variable Sway Control (VSC) rear axle control system that allows the driver to adjust the lean control using a the control panel located on the left fairing. Every conversation we have had with Trike shoppers has always started with, “The Goldwing makes the best conversion”. It makes the power, has the chassis to handle the size and the best riding position possible for driver and passengers.
The Champion Trike Conversion is the best in the business. The body shell was color matched to the stock Honda Paint and matches the build and fit quality of Honda to a tee. In the back it utilizes twin aluminum A-Arms on each side to give independent suspension at the rear axle. Champion is also the only company that uses an offset Rear Differential that eliminates the need for a steep driveshaft angles from the engine to the Diff. It is almost a straight line, important when working with the Honda Transmission designed for their off set stock rear driveshaft. One of the issues some conversions have found is rapid wear on the stock Honda forward U-joint.
The stock Goldwing that was converted by Thunderstruck Custom Bikes in Medford, Oregon in 2012 and was decked out in all of the finery from Champion, just look at the images! The underside of the bike is almost as captivating as the top, the castings and frame factory built in appearance and beautifully assembled.
Prior to be converted it appears to be almost as loaded a Honda of that year could be with all four of the packages offered from Honda that year, Premium Audio, Comfort, Navigation and ABS. Cosmetically, the bike appears almost new with new tires on the rear, replaced do to age rather than wear.
