2002 Honda Goldwing GL1800 Trike

I was not ready for how pretty this 2002 Honda Goldwing GL1800 Motortrike Conversion was when it pulled up to the shop. The Motortrike paint is a perfect match to the stock Honda Goldwing Sunburst Orange which is amazing sitting in the sun.
Motortrike conversions are one of the most established, popular Trike kits for Hondas and Harley, starting way back in 1994. In fact, in Grants Pass there is a long established Motortrike Dealer, S&D Custom Cycle who has serviced this bike over the years it has been in the valley.
2002 GL1800’s came factory equipped with amongst other things, reverse, a perfect match for a Trike. 2002 Goldwings were loaded with every conceivable electronic option of the day including communication systems, stereo, cruise, rear suspension pre-load adjustment, head light height adjustment, in fact, it looks like the dash on a small aircraft there are so many buttons!
The engine is the best part of the of the GL1800. The 1800cc, fuel-injected, two-valve-per-cylinder flat-six is the textbook definition of smooth, with more than 100 horsepower. Linked brakes and a reverse gear were standard. When it comes to reliability, the word that best describes the GL1800 is “automotive” because due to it’s known Honda durability and expected long life.
The bike has been serviced locally by S&D with a new front tire in the past 1000 miles. The rear tires are original and though there is a lot of tread showing, should be replaced mainly because of their age.
