This is a one owner, bone stock 2007 Aprilia Tuono R RSV 1000 that has been fastidiously kept and serviced during life. The bike is unbelievable to ride on the street with it’s wide bars and upright riding position. It is part of the “Naked Bike” Theme bikes that included the Ducati Monster and Triumph Speed Triple which I have never been really entertained by until I road the Aprilia. This thing rocks! I admit to be prejudiced when it comes to Twins, but the riding position and the bottom end this motor has put on a different playing field then the other two bikes.
This was the first Tuono, produced after Piaggio took over Aprilia and brought financial backing, which was basically a RSV Mille R Super Bike with the bodywork stripped off. Sport Bikes are outstanding, but with the designed riding position, they are so finely focused, they tend to beat the rider up when used for the street instead of their intended work place, the track. The Tuono on the other hand with it’s wider handlebars and comfortable riding position allows you to ride on winding roads at a pace most Superbikes would end up in a ditch if they were trying to match it. It puts “Smile” back into the equation when it comes to being on the street, 133hp can get all sorts of hooligan behavior going.
This particular seventeen year old bike absolutely stunning in its stock condition. It is beautiful. It has the stock exhaust cans still on it which sound great without the burnt out sound of most fiberglass stuffed twenty year old after market systems. The stock bar raisers allowed a perfect riding position and brakes are excellent, it is after all a Super Bike with no bodywork. This will be FUN!
