1977 BMW 630 CSI

Decades ago when I still had the need for a hair cut, Harvey was the “Barber” in Grants Pass. I was running a large shop at the time and Harvey would bring his import cars in for service, we sort of traded, one hair cut for another….
Harvey kept everything he owned in good service which kept his tip jar pretty empty over the years watching over his fleet of European cars. It appears that he bought this 1976 BMW 630 CSI in about 2012, slipping it between his 450 SLC as his daily driver. For Harvey, it was like a pair of comfortable slippers, staying after maintenance and driving them almost every day, his pride of ownership of owning an aspiring classic. The car was painted soon after he bought it and kept running by local shops here in Grants Pass.
The car drives well, the AC and Automatic Transmission work as well as they did when the car was new. There are sheep skin seat covers covering the seats which we did not take off. The tool kit in the trunk is partially there, partially rusty with extra non-factory items included. The speedometer works but the odometer has not changed since we had it detailed and for images, it is not working.
Cosmetically, there appears to be no rust while looking underneath the car or signs of damage from accidents in the past. The paint is holding up well, but it is not a show car more of a daily driver at this point. It starts and runs well and could be a daily driver once again if that is the direction or desire of a new owner. Harvey would be missing the car if he was still around to tell us…
