2005 Ducati ST4s
Price: $4,695 USD - PREVIOUSLY SOLD
When the ST4 was first introduced, it was the ultimate Sport, Street, touring motorcycle of the ages. Running a slightly detuned 916 Engine (which actually made more power and torque), the bike was the perfect hooligan bike for those busting out some miles on the grand tour. By 2004 and the arrival of the “S” version of the model, it was now the same engine as the 996 along with ABS Brakes and Ohlins suspension.
Our 2005 ST4s Motorcycle was purchased form an estate about a year ago and there is no service history after 17,000 miles. What can be seen are brand new tires and the crankcase oil looks clean. Brake pads are good front and rear but there is no mention of Timing Belt replacement since 15,082 miles at A&S Motorcycle in Roseville, California. The bike is cosmetically clean, one or two marks on the body but no signs of tipping over. There are a set of HeliBars installed as can be seen in the images. It comes with three sets of Mufflers, the stock cans, a set of Kerkers and the Staintunes installed on the bike. There is also a very comfortable aftermarket seat mounted along with a Sargent seat as a backup. The bike starts instantly after a week, the assumption being the battery is also relatively new and mechanically it is in good order.
The sound of the Dry Clutch will always be waking up traffic at stop signs and in traffic, a sound that is so Ducati in nature. Showing just 25,223 miles my guess is that it will be time for a Timing Belt service which normally runs about $750. After that it should be gas and tires for a couple of riding seasons.
The Red Key and all of the owner’s manuals come with the bike.
