1983 Jeep CJ7
Price: $6,995 USD - PREVIOUSLY SOLD
It is flat overwhelming how much has been researched and written about the Jeep CJ7 built from 1976 until 1986. I will gloss over most it and stick with the features and condition of this Jeep that came from a long time owner needing room in his shop.
The CJ7 was 10 inches longer than the CJ5 and in some people’s opinions made for a better off roader due to the extra wheelbase length. There were several changes made to the chassis that added drivability improvements, but it was a still a leaf spring Jeep. This particular CJ came from the factory with the In-Line 6 and Manual Transmission backed by the 2-Speed Transfer Case.
The Jeep starts well and does everything it is suppose to including the High and Low Ranges and Locking Hubs. Work has been done but it will benefit from attention with the next owner. I think most Jeep owner’s do, make them better and more personal. The bones here are a great start which you can drive and use as is until you have time and budget to do as you want.
The Jeep has been painted in the past and some of the body work not really up to snuff as can be seen in the images. The underside does not have serious corrosion issues and I did not see any perseverations or serious issues. There are some paint blisters showing on the body with some prior work showing on the right rear quarter. Tires are 20%. The images tell it best. If you have questions, please visit our website to see more detail and underneath.
The VIN# is 1JCCM87E6DT060322 and miles are unknown. The selling price is $6,995.
