1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Camaro Z28’s have been a constant in the market of collectable cars since I can remember. Most of them went the way of being just used cars back in the day, rode hard, put away wet as their value dropped. No one thought they would reach the level of desirable they eventually did.
This particular car was refurbished in about 2008 which we have a build book for, showing the body preparation and engine work that was done. The same year it was appraised for $17,900 which we have the copy of. Our consignor bought it about five years ago when the market was even stronger and has held on to it until health and life changes have caught up, now it is for sale.
Included with the sale is the build sheet, showing it was assembled in Van Nuys, California and shipped to Bauer Chevrolet in Portland. The window sticker is from Bauer Chevrolet with Freddie Bogner as the salesman.
The present drive train is 350 Chevrolet crate motor that is rumored to be a 383 Stroker Motor, but there is no way to verify this. The transmission was swapped from a 4- Speed Manual to 700R4 recently, requiring another Bell Housing and Drive Shaft. The 4-Speed, Bell Housing and Driveshaft that was taken out is available to the next owner of the car.
The paint was well applied twelve years ago but there are some minor areas where it is not brand new, but over all it is very presentable. There does not appear to be any rust or corrosion after looking at the top and bottom. The doors do not sag which is typical with the vintage, larger GM doors.
