1960 GMC K10 Pickup
Price: $21,995 USD - PREVIOUSLY SOLD

VIN #: K1001CN1008A
Stock #: 1441
This 1960 GMC K10 is the truck that every other customer asked about the past fifteen years. “If you ever get an early 4WD Chevy or GMC in, call me right away”. Well it finally arrived and lets see how many buyers line for this incredibly stock, factory 4WD, Short, Narrow, V8, 4-Speed truck.

It comes to us from Southern Oregon where I was told it had been for decades. There have been different owners who have worked at bringing it back to stock order or close to it over the years. It’s present owner drove it 60 miles on I5 to deliver it and he reported it was a dream to drive (if any 1960 4WD truck could be called a dream) without a hitch coming to Grants Pass.

1960 was the first year that GM brought manufacturing it’s 4WD trucks in house. Up to that point, all of the 4WD trucks being sold by GM were first delivered as 2WD units with a NAPCO kit for the 4WD conversion being shipped either to the local dealer or owner who undertook the conversion. 1960 GM did a complete redesign of the K10 line making NAPCO conversions obsolete.

This truck is a 4WD, 4-Speed Transmission with 283 V8 from GMC. The present owner installed a power steering kit and ordered a power brake booster kit for the drum brakes. The power steering kit made a huge difference to the ease of driving according to the owner. The power brake kit comes with the truck but is not installed.

I had the truck on the rack, looking for rust and impact damage and found nothing worth noting other than surface rust on the chassis that you expect to find 70 years on. The only area that was worth noting was the passenger side door that had minor blistering in each lower corner as you can see in the images. What really stands out is the unmolested Barden Rear Bumper. Normally someone has cut the leading sections off or other “modification”. Seeing an original bumper is a rare occasion.

The interior has had new covers installed on the seat, the rest pretty much stock. The exterior paint is not going to make at Pebble Beach but it seems well applied and holding up well with no signs of lifting or rust other than the passenger side door corners. If there are any needs, the wiring is aged and has been modified by different owners to met their needs. It probably will need attention eventually. If you get a chance to watch Steve talk about the truck, watch the video that is attached on the website and he covers even more.

The selling price is $21,995. The VIN# is K1001CN1008A and miles are unknown. Please come by and see at Automania LLC, 895 SE Gladiola Drive, Grants Pass, OR 97526. http://www.automaniagp.com 541 479 8888 Oregon Dealer DA1286.
