1994 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 / 5-Speed Convertible
Price: $3,000 USD - PREVIOUSLY SOLD
This 1994 Ford Mustang 5.0, 5-Speed Manual Transmission Convertible is being sold as a Restoration Project. This means that it still needs additional work to be completed to make it factory normal for several different systems. It is technically not road worthy even though it is licensed with a clean title and is being driven currently. There maybe a couple of mechanical issues, but it is a 30 year old car that my good friend John has been fussing with for the past two years and who has run out of steam to continue on.
John bought the car needing work several years ago. For over 30 years John has built Hot Rods and Furniture and was looking for something less involved that would be a hoot to drive around in. The car was the perfect answer in the moment. It needed paint, top, tires, a clutch and body work. It was the prefect project for a man of his immense talents and energy. There is a video we shot of John talking about the car and the work he completed on the web page.
The car was prepped and painted the stock Factory Red. Greg’s Upholstery installed a new Top. John pulled the transmission (at age 91) and installed a new clutch assembly. New tires were mounted to the chrome rims. With the wheels off, he installed new brake pads. He fussed with door handles that did not open and windows that did not go up and down. The AC was not working so a new compressor was installed and the system charged.
About a year ago, sever back pain took over and working on the car was impossible any further. The list of projects for the car John still had not completed was shorter but still needed to be sorted out. John was aware that the car was not Smog Legal any longer. The Odometer was not working but John was told there are small plastic gears in the Speedo Head that were stripped.
And so the car is now being sold as an unfinished Project. There is still work to be done to make it a good driver, but it looks good, has a new top and the AC does blow COLD!
The VIN# is 1FALP45T2RF184814 and miles are unknown. The selling price is $3.000.
